A developer from software announced that an Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree was just over. According to the studio, the expansion is going to give new adventures in the lands between, so, even with the free colonise PDLC, there are single-player shenanigans on offer.

Again, unlike Colosseum DLC, the content could be paid. Do we bother with this? Not at all. We awarded that open-world hack-em-up a massive 10 out of 10 so we couldn't buy more than it would be.

What we still do not know is how content is going to enter the Elden Ring world. Is that bringing you into a new area, and then locking you in till you have defeated the boss? Or, more likely, will it add a few new realms to the existing map? You can count on the many horrible traps, at least. We have not quite forgiven From those massive sentient stone balls.

There is certainly nothing about the Elden Ring that screams unfinished. At least not now the Colosseums are active. From have put out DLC for some of their other games but this is their latest title, which is much more open than any of those offerings.

Well have to wait more. All That Software revealed is the expansions name, Shadow of the Erdtree, and the fact that its in development. We would expect they would disclose more about this Elden Ring expansion later this year.
