CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- It’s been five days since the kickoff of the Virginia Film Festival, and today was the last day of showings, finishing off with The Last Showgirl featuring Pamela Anderson.
Over the five days, they showed more than 100 films ranging from documentaries to foreign films. Organizers said there was something for everyone.
The VAFF even had special guest Mikey Madison, known for her roles in Better Things, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and now Anora.
“There’s been an incredible energy down here every single night and afternoon of the festival here at the Violet Crown and the Paramount Theater. On the grounds of the University of Virginia, there are also theaters. It’s just a tremendous mix of film fans, great discussions, and incredible film artists that we brought in for the festival, along with sold-out movie theaters,” said Jody Kielbasa, executive director of the Virginia Film Festival.
They say the 37th annual Virginia Film Festival was a success and that they’re excited to come back for another round next year.
