For the 2022 holiday season, Eva was certainly booked and busy. The actress played a Christmas spirit named Zero alongside fellow "sister spirits" Vivica A. Fox, and Robin Givens in VH1's A New Diva's Christmas Carol. The sister spirits are helping out a singer named Aphrodite, played by Ashanti, get back in the holiday spirit in the movie, which was released on December 14.
Eva also took on a role as a romantic lead opposite Devale Ellis in the OWN original movie, A Christmas Fumble, which first aired on the network on December 10. Her character, Nicole, is a crisis management expert tasked with helping her ex Jordan (played by Devale), a pro athlete, get through a scandal.
During an appearance on Fox 5 Atlanta's Good Day Atlanta, Eva opened up about her career, and she shared why she was "so excited" to take on roles in festive movies this year (especially the one featuring a holiday romance).
"I love to work. It is my fuel," she said about why she wanted to work on so many different projects in 2022. "I'm one of those people, it doesn't matter how much money I'll ever acquire, working is my joy."
As someone who enjoys watching holiday movie marathons on TV, Eva said delighted to appear in several herself.
"I love the holidays, and there's nothing like love — and love in a hopeless place, a forbidden love, a love that was hard to attain, a second chance at love, so I think that's something we can all relate on, no matter what creed, what age," Eva explained. "Having someone [who] loves you and you love back, someone who is in this world for you too, Christmas encompasses that. I just love it."
Eva isn't the only Bravolebrity who is showcasing her acting chops in a holiday movie. Check out the trailer for Teresa Giudice's upcoming TV film, Fuhgeddabout Christmas.
